In friendly cooperation with

OUR TEAM

Our RVA Team is made up of hundreds of prayer and financial supporters from local churches around the world.  Those listed on this page have the privilege of serving as the hands that connect the local churches in the west to the local PNG churches.  RVA exists because of the unity within the various diverse cultures of those who seek to glorify God and equip the nations to fulfill the Great Commission...until the last one is reached.

Bill & Kelley Housley

Founders and Liaison to the Local PNG Churches

Bill and Kelley moved into the Ramu Valley in 2004 and began working among a remote and unreached people group called the Inapang.  Their team completed cultural and language acquisition to a proficient level before developing the Inapang orthography, writing literacy curriculum and then beginning translation and Bible curriculum projects.  All aspects of the work were focused toward the four month presentation of the Creation to Christ teaching in the Inapang language.  In 2007, the gospel was heard and the church was born. Over the next 8 years, eight more churches were planted around the valley. Now, the Housleys are working to finish the New Testament translation and continue to provide discipleship and mentoring for the local churches and their leadership as they have begun to reach out into their surrounding communities with the gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ! The Ramu Valley Academy exists as an answer to the request of these local churches for safe and quality education for the next generation.

Eric & Kim Kitchens

School Administrator & On-Site (PNG) Administrative Assistant

Eric and Kim are joining the Housleys on-site in PNG beginning Summer 2019. They are moving with their 4 children, Genesis (15), Providence (13), Caleb (9), and Trinity (7). Eric holds a Master of Divinity and will use his teaching and administrative experience to serve as the RVA Project Coordinator and Administrator. Kim will serve as the on-site administrative assistant and school nurse. They are excited to step out in faith and follow God's leading as they move their family across the globe to serve His people through Ramu Valley Academy.

Chelsea Murray

US Administrative Assistant

Ever since she was a little kid, Chelsea (and her family) have been involved in the 'sending' part of the Inapang work. She grew up praying for the gospel work that was taking place among the unreached peoples of Papua New Guinea. Chelsea had the opportunity to spend the Summer of 2017 in PNG as a student in the Interface program with Ethnos 360. Passionate about education and the church, she is thrilled to be working alongside the RVA team and the believers in Papua New Guinea on the Ramu Valley Academy.

Sherri Boyd

Curriculum Liaison

Sherri Boyd lives in Maryville, TN with her husband and three children.  She has always had a heart for missions and unreached people groups.  Sherri has worked in Christian Education for 14 years.  She has a Master's Degree in Education specializing in curriculum and instruction.  She is excited to help the Ramu Valley Academy as it begins this new journey.
